So here's the challenge! Next time you come across a homeless person... stop! Take the time to acknowledge their existence. Then say hello. Ask them their name maybe. See if you can assist in any way, maybe buy them some food when you're getting your own in the shop. Most importantly, share some of God's love with them. We are no better than them, and God made us all equal, regardless of circumstance.
2 minutes of your time could easily result in that stranger you just spoke to believing in the concept of hope for a better world once more. And trust me, it will brighten up your day too and the simple answer as to why - you are embracing the concept that all people possess a very special thing called value, which God has placed on everyone's life.
So go on, do it... because we are 1!
brilliant, i think all too often we are in too much of a rush and don't want to be bothered with the homeless... i believe it's because we can't relate, if you read this post or this comment chances are you have never lived on the street, i know i haven't so there is no way we can empathise with them but what we can do is give them some time and maybe a kind word:)
